As promised in week 36 today we embark on a new segment, so kindly allow me to introduce you to concept of raising yourself. All this while we have discussed concepts on knowing yourself, trusting yourself and growing yourself. Now what do I mean by raising yourself? In this segment we look at nurturing our humane potential. By humane I mean making ourselves human beings and not a result of human doings.
And once you realize your true potential, you will automatically live stress free.
“Be kind to your mind” I am sure you had heard this multiple times, but today lets understand why. Your mind is the channel which connects the dots between your world outside and your world inside. It takes inputs from the sense organs and passes it on to the mental faculty which deciphers its meaning basis your knowledge and understanding. Ever wondered why the same thing may have different experiences to different people? Its because of the capability of their mental faculty which consists of the person’s intelligence, mind and ego construct.
And often its results in displayed in our reactions, responses, body language and emotions. EQ popularly know as emotional intelligence is the ability to understand, use and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.
Below are 4 such areas which require attention in order to boost EQ.
More importantly we need to reduce the number of thoughts arising in our mind. Remember to focus on two things
- Delete or reduce thoughts that disturb your peace of mind, and
- Maintain the steadiness of your intellect
Once you master this, you can live stress free. Problems will arise but will pass by without creating doubt, confusion and challenge.
