Abundance – week 24

Dear Abundance seekers,

Welcome to week 24. last week we discussed on the effects of the hedonic cycle and explores ways in which its impact can be minimised or avoided too. Now that you don’t derive happiness from outer source you need to derive it from your inner self.

What is Instinct? Intuition ? Gut feeling?

While the terms intuition, instinct and gut-feelings are often used interchangeably, it’s important to understand the differences. Intuition or a gut-feeling is an understanding or knowing of a situation without specific data or evidence at the time; analytic reasoning is not part of the intuitive process. Instinct is an innate, hardwired tendency. For example, humans have biological, hardwired instincts for survival and reproduction.

What exactly is intuition? You may believe it’s a supernatural force, or simply the brain  analyzing facts at a subconscious level and sending you “hunches” based on that analysis. Either way, there’s no denying that intuition is a powerful force in the business world.

Highly developed intuition is a “secret weapon,” says Judith Orloff, MD, professor of psychiatry at UCLA and author of Dr. Judith Orloff’s Guide to Intuitive Healing. “It gives you all kinds of information you wouldn’t normally have. This isn’t the brain analyzing; this is nonlinear knowledge. It’s a second kind of intelligence. You want to use both.”

4 Techniques Guaranteed to Strengthen Your Intuition (Even If You Think You Have None)

1. Listen to your gut. Literally.

Believe it or not, your digestive system can help improve your intuition. There are neurotransmitters in your gut, so if you get a gut feeling, it’s not good to ignore that. But the catch is to slow down , pause and mindfully listen to your gut.

2. Observe your energy levels.

Pay attention to whether being around someone makes you feel tired and drained or energetic and lively. If you feel sucked or drained out in someone’s company, avoid them. Surround yourself with good people who bring good energy to you.

3. Capture your flashes.

Intuition usually comes to us in a flash of insight–an aha! moment. They come very quickly. When those moments hit, don’t let them go by. Write them down, and follow through. Tip: always keep a paper and pen handy.

4. Do a three-minute meditation.

Just getting three quiet minutes a day can get you in touch with your intuition. If even that is too challenging, at least get off by yourself for a few moments. Take a walk, or duck into the bathroom if need be. You need to be separate from other people and tune in.

Listen to your soul speaking with you, helping you guiding you and many times protecting you from hazards. The more you tune in, stronger will be your intuition. Let the energy within spark up and allow it to speak with you. Dedicate a time each day and you will notice your intuition picking up in no time , but you have to do this receptively and with dedication and passion.

Remember your world within creates your world outside. Its always this and never the reverse.

Happy intuiting, happiness and sunshine,

Niddhi
