Congratulations on successfully completing week 7 which was on improving your mental health, Where we laid emphasis on the fact that its OK to NOT be OK. Lets move on to week 8 today in which we will take it one step higher.
You and me find ourselves riding the rat race to perfection. From being the perfect mother, a perfect housemaker, a perfect partner, a perfect businesswoman we are racing towards perfectionism. Making a perfect presentation, a perfect story board and all are by products to being perfect in everyday life.
While we are perfect with everything and everyone else, are you perfect with yourself? how well do you claim to know yourself? Answer the questions below for a reality check…
And what happens when you are unable to answer most of the questions? Self pity. It is the easiest tool to devalue yourself and I am sure you are a victim too. Here I have tried to outline 4 ways which will help to combat self pity and cultivate loving kindness in you.
Imperfection is an inevitable part of life. It is the by product of perfection and hence cannot be overlooked.
One must also realize that failure cannot be avoided. Its important to treat failure as a ladder to self improvement and learn from it.
It is very important to accept yourself with dignity and embrace your flaws with the same grace as you appreciate your achievements. It’s time to be proud of yourself and your being.
