Crafter – a creator of great skill in the manual arts; a person who grows or makes or invents things.
Crafty – clever at achieving one’s aims by indirect or deceitful methods.
While one is positive and the other is not, but both showcase creativity. One creates for a productive purpose while the others crafts ideas to dampen spirits and has selfish motives. A crafter shares his creation with the world while a crafty person would attempt to hide his wrongs by all crafty means.
