Thought of the night 5

What stops you from being humble?

Pride,

Ego,

Power, or the most famous excuse these days

Lack of time?

A tree with no fruit stands tall and erect with pride and nobody seeks them. Only when they are laden with fruits and have something to offer do we seek them.

Does humility lower your self esteem? No, in fact it feeds it. Why do you struggle to prove superiority? Can you not stay on the same page with others and bring happiness?

“Empowering others means empowering yourself ”

Mindful practice

List down 3 instances in which you disempowered someone.

Think how you could have behaved otherwise.

List them down so that you know how to behave at the next instance.

Happiness and sunshine🌼

I like the image of bending, being humble enough to let go the ego. The risk for the tree in not bending is great, which raises the question, are we aware of the risk we take when we won’t bend?

    1. This is where ego steps in , it blurs the insight and then we fail .

I love your mindful practice here, to list 3 things of how you disempowered someone. Mostly I have that incident playing over and over in my head, but I think writing it down is much more solid. Thank you for stopping by at my blog at A Sweeter Life and leaving a comment, so nice to meet you, I am now following you as well.
