When a leaf is on the tree it struggles to break free. Lured by the word free it wants to dance with the wind and go new places. Explore the unexplored land, touch and feel its warmth.
Oh! Wind take me to places new,
Tired of being stuck with this tree,
My heart aches,
For experiences new.
One such day the winds roar and she manages to break loose. The air gives wings to its flight and the rain carries her to a land of red soil. A colour she had never seen before, a land she wished to embrace.
On a muddy puddle she rests,
Red soil mixed with enough water,
The sun shines on her,
She now has all needed for growth.
Days pass, some more leaves fly past her. Some join her and some leave. The sun’s rays now penetrate her fragile under nourished body and she looses colour.
Why did she rot when she had growth?
Why did she loose colour?
Why in water she died thirsty?
Why did she cripple and become waste?
When grounded to the tree and connected with its roots the leaf was nourished with water and sun. But once uprooted the same sun cursed her and the same water could not quench her.
Every thing alive will die one day, that’s universal. But staying grounded is a choice. Do not uncouple yourself from the source, the Divine, the primordial energy, the quintessential seed you have sprouted from. Any freedom gained by disengaging from the source is short lived and temporary.
Now how do you know whether you are connected with the root or not ? When you are comfortable on your own company, at peace within, it suggests that you are rooted inwards and have absorbed and understood the essence of spirituality.
“When green we learn, when red we rot”
Such is the case with LIFE. Think about it!
Leaving you with this thought today. Happiness and sunshine πΌ

What a very deep and powerful message! Sometimes we think life is better lived somewhere else, not realizing that the places we wish to go may not be healthy for us. That rooting is so important and you expressed that so well in this post. Very well written!
