I am sure this happens in every parent child relationship. My kids are 10 and 7 and even today they want to sleep in my bed and hug me at every instance. I sometimes have to carry them asleep from the car to their room and tag them along a long walk in the mall. Some days I do this happily and on other I grump. Yes I am guilty too.
But I know one day they will not be this small and all this will end soon. So until then I want to cherish their childhood. Now when this happens I take it on my stride and sigh that this phase will end soon.
Why do kids grow up so fast? Do you also feel the same?

Yes indeed, why DO they grow up so fast.. I love having an early morning cuddle when our eight year old Granddaughter comes for a sleep over.. We talk and sometimes we sing.. lol. Treasure these moments Nidhi, as you say, they grow up all too soon.. โค

That’s the beauty of Time…..
Sometimes you feel that it runs so quick but sometimes a day feels like years…..
But it’s constant. Always…….
That’s kind of Time awarness post… ๐ and I like it.. โบโคโค..

They definitely grow up so fast. One day my son was walking through the woods with me in a baby sling, the next alongside me holding my hand, then behind me on a bicycle built for two on a 1,900 km ride, then on his own bicycle beside me. Now he’s 20 years old and studying at university but still living at home.
Take heart, though, beautiful moments do pass but they are replaced with new beautiful moments – and new experiences too. Where once I would teach him now I learn from him as well. Parenthood is the best journey.

It seems like an eternity on the nights when they cannot get to sleep, but far too soon, they are adults leaving home. Be present and aware of the time as it slips through one’s fingers.
