This is something I swear by and tell my kids everyday ! They need not be smarter , cooler or better , all they need to be is kind , loving , generous ,happy and grateful each day !
When I made my own gratitude rock , they looked at it in amazement . One said is it a paper weight , while the other said I had kept it in my bed side to draw rocks. For the youngest one in the family it became more important than her toys when she insisted on playing hide and seek with it . “Abra ka dabra , gili gili chooo” and it would vanish out of sight for me to find it for her again and again and again.
Last night during our bed time ritual of reading and sharing , I introduced my kids to my G rock and explained the power of gratitude to them . They looked excited , shared three things to be grateful for for yesterday and promised to make one each over the weekend to keep practising gratitude.we mutually decided to take up a 7 day gratitude challenge for getting into the practice.
They slept with a happy heart and woke up feeling grateful for today . More importantly they are Happy and that is all I want each day.
Are you ready to take up the gratitude challenge?
Happiness and sunshine
