How do you feel when you drive the ultimate machine the BMW ? Oh Nidhi what a silly question ! Of course I will be happy.
And what happens if you get stuck in a traffic jam ? Or a fellow motorist passed by you, or does not allow you to overtake ? What’s your first reaction ? Do you get upset , complain about the traffic and talk I’ll about the other motorist ? Or you stay calm and drive on ?
I asked this to a few people at a gathering last week and 8 out of 10 said they abuse the other motorist and nag about the traffic .
Tarry a little and ponder , where did the happiness go ? About two minutes earlier you are on cloud nine , proudly driving your machine and two minutes later you are left cribbing in the same machine . Not because of any fault in the machine but because of other circumstances. The anger and frustration overtakes the joy of driving a BMW .
Now the question is , how do we stay happy and not let external factors effect our happiness. BBM is the answer to all worries. BBM is an acronym used for brain breathing and mind. how ??
Have you heard of Happy hormones ? Do you know when your body releases them ? When we do some physical activity like walking , workout , gymming or dance our brain releases these happy hormones. Responsible for this are biochemical processes and the release of so-called happiness hormones. The most popular ones are endorphins, dopamine and serotonin. Don’t you feel happy after a sweaty Zumba class of after burning your fat out at the gym ? Were does all the tiredness and exhaustion go ? The sweat evaporates , evaporating your tension and stress from your body .Exercise to keep yourself happy . Now you may ask , how can I exercise while driving ? Well , point taken where there are situations you cannot jog or jump follow what’s coming up next .
Now you cannot jump in the board room or in between conversations but what you can do is control your breathing pattern. How do you breathe when you are angry ? fast right ! Slow down as much possible and you will loose your anger to your breath. And you will experience calm. Take a slow breath in through the nose, breathing into your lower belly (for about 4 seconds) 2. Hold your breath for 1 or 2 seconds 3. Exhale slowly through the mouth (for about 4 seconds) 4.Feel calm. Another thing what you can do to control your anger and remain quiet making sure you do not utter any crap is by connecting your tongue to your palate. This simple exercise helps in purifying your aura and balances your chakras to some extent making you calmer and quieter.
It’s all in the mind ! We have all heard this . Now it’s time to unleash the potential of the mind . Your thoughts attract your actions hence your happiness. What you think you become. Express gratitude to feel gratitude , think happy to feel happy . Simple ! Train your mind to stay calm and it will stay calm bringing peace to you. Attract health , wealth , relationships , positivity to you and feel them in your life. That’s the power of the mind. Believe me it works !
Just keep BBM in mind next when you are tempted to feel angry or upset and ride your BBW with a big and happy heart ! Control your brain , breathing and mind to unleash happiness in life. It’s not a journey it is a practice.The more you practice , the more you become one with self.
