5 senses 5 courses

The stones crush under my feet

The scent of lilies infuse the air.

The yellow little flowers add sunnies

To a quiet little place suiting our needs.

The whiff of freshly baked breads lingers

Olive oil still tastes on my tongue.

Dim lights and garden chairs

Candles tried to stay steady in the breeze.

The crickets sing in a nearby distance

As I break the warm olive bread.

The wine flows with our senses

The cucumber jellies soothing the palate.

While the sour dough ferments inside

The orange and walnuts tantalise my buds.

Rockets fill the sky like stars ,while

Squishy feta slyly slides to my throat.

The light pendulum highlights my eats

Spiced potatoes with grilled zucchini.

The candle on the salty ganache

Keeps bouncing back to life.

And the cinnamon in the honey ice cream

Adds a gentle sweetness to

His majestic smile

And a happy ending to our birthday week.

Rajat relishing the salted chocolate ganache

I decided to present him a melody of 5 senses and treated him over a 5 course meal. Why ? I love him with all my senses 🙂

I pinned each course with a special note related to senses, making our meal slightly more special and experience memorable !

And he enjoyed it with all his heart relishing and savouring each moment of the time we spent together last evening !

Happiness and sunshine 🙂

Nidhi

P.S: Jan 21 was mine and Jan 23 was my man’s birthday! And we are open to receiving wishes 🙂 keep it flowing ……. 🙂

Also let me know your idea of birthday for spouse. Would you prefer a quiet one or party big time ?

Well we did party hard for my birthday !

I did not realise how much thought was going behind the dinner, besides the food. But I thoroughly enjoyed it… both the dinner and the read
